Happy Halloween
I did a really bad job this year at taking pictures of the kids dressed up so here are a few shots, the first two are just cute pictures I wanted to include because well...they're cute.

Can you say behind????
I know it has been long over a month since the blog has been updated. Life has been busy (isn't everyone's?) and so this blog has been neglected. What has been happening? Let's see, since the last post two major things have happened, both concerning Emma. First she learned to ride a bike without training wheels and second she turned the big 6.
Chris taught Emma how to ride over the course of a week, she was timid at first but finally got the hang of it. We still haven't taught her how to brake yet, right now she just lands in the grass. Here are a few pictures.

And last week was Emma's big sixth birthday. She decided she wanted to have her party at Chuck E. Cheese. We weren't too thrilled with the idea of the party being there but that is what she really wanted. I took some Advil before we headed to the party. I also made her a birthday outfit so she would feel special all day long at school, so that is why her outfit is a bit "blinged" out in the pictures.

As I look through the pictures I dumped from my camera I realize I have a few more to post so the first few are from when I painted our kitchen cabinets and then the others are from when we went to the Fishers Renaissance Fair.

Ramsey the Wonder Pup
Meet our new Golden Retriever Ramsey. We picked him up Sunday and he has been so good and so has Sebastian. We needed a little one to get Sebastian active again but he's a bit like a grumpy old man right now because Ramsey is still trying to nurse on him. Enjoy the pictures and the video (if it uploads correctly) is HILARIOUS!

Tennessee Trip Summer '09
Each year we take at least one (sometimes two or three) trips to Tennessee. It's one of our favorite spots to rest, relax and eat-my three favorite things. This is the second year in a row that we went with family. Last year all of Chris's brothers and their families went along with his dad. This year because of timing only Chris's dad and Brother Ryan's family could go. We had such a great time and it makes me excited to go back this fall or next spring, or next summer.
Meal #1 soon upon arrival: The Alamo-the BEST steaks
Day #2 for lunch-Bennetts, love their BBQ
My sister-in-law Erin and I took the two boys (Christian and Carter) on a nature ride to try and find a bear. While driving through we took a few snapshots. We did see a bear but the picture didn't turn out so great so you have to believe us.

Day #3 Fannie Farkles-it's really an arcade but they have good smoked sausage and sweet teas
The kids hanging out by a fountain...duh
Carter being goofy, riding a cement pony
This was a nightly sight, Grandpa Ron would eat some popcorn then about five minutes later you could find him snoring on the couch, happened every night like clockwork.
Where you find a high deck in the middle of the mountains you will find two young boys peeing off of it
Outlet shopping...
Dinner after a long day of outlet shopping, great home cooked food served family style, but notice two of the four are crying, it had been a lonnnng day.
On the last full day we went to Ober Gatlinburg, good times.

Eight Years of Pure Marital Bliss
Eight years ago today we got married. Ahhh, I love life, I love our marriage, I love our family, I love all that we have been through and will go through in the future. I know that God has big things planned for us and our family and am excited to go through the journey of life with Chris by my side. I was looking for old photos to put on the blog of our wedding and reception but couldn't find any that really stood out so I chose only two...our official wedding photo and then a snapshot we took on our honeymoon in St. Thomas. We look so young, I guess we were, but we made the best decision of our life that day to commit to Christ and each other forever. Happy Anniversay honey!

Random Picture
I saw this on another blog and thought I would do it since I don't have anything to post this week. You're supposed to go to where you keep your photos on your computer and open the 4th folder, and then the 4th picture in that folder, and then put it on your blog and explain it.
So here is a picture from Halloween of 2007, Carter is 16 months in this picture and we were at our church for their "Trunk or Treat" event. I love old pictures but it makes me realize how fast the time is flying by.
